The Phillips-Lovdal Farm Preserve in Southbury, CT, needed a land management plan to help the Southbury Land Trust guide their stewardship for the long term. The two farms, totalling 155 acres, had been in agriculture since the early 1700s.

The terms of their conservation specified that the land could serve as open space but needed to be in a state of readiness for agriculture. The Land Trust needed a plan that addressed these goals.

“Just finished reading THE Plan.  Wow, I love it!  So easy to read and so very many issues covered.  Some many new things learned as well as many earlier convictions reinforced. The graphics are great, well placed, and very helpful too.” Karen Huber, Executive Director, Southbury Land Trust, Southbury, CT
